During the 15th Nowy Targ Aviation Picnic, you'll be able to admire the RWD-5R – a replica of the legendary aircraft in which Colonel pilot Stanisław Skarżyński made his historic transatlantic flight on 8 May 1933, securing his place forever in the history of world aviation.
Small, elegant, and remarkably distinctive, the RWD-5R is a symbol of courage, determination, and the craftsmanship of Polish designers. Its presence at the airfield is not only a chance to admire a beautiful machine, but also an encounter with history that continues to inspire new generations of aviators to this day. The aircraft was built by the EAA 991 Experimental Aviation Association, based at the airfield in Łososina Górna.
